While The Venomous DiMilo retired from competitive skating before the 2019 season, the end of 2019 was the end of derby careers for several more of our skaters. Retired skaters include Bex, Spicy SheRa ChaCha, Twisted Sybil, Goldy Blocks, Malibully Barbie, and General Grant Slam. Emcee Dropping the Magic Mike hung up his mic, and our head coach/Sucias coach, Robbie Grant, retired as well.
It's an understatement to say that roller derby is tough. It's tough mentally and physically, and even though we get so much from this sport, we give up a great deal, too. We're thankful for the blood, sweat, tears, and broken bones that these people sacrificed to make CCD it what it is today.
The 2020 season starts on January 13th with Sucias tryouts, and league practices begin January 21st! (Fresh Meat/Chile Verde will start in the spring, date t.b.d.) We are always looking for new skaters and welcome transfer skaters to join us! Contact us for details.
