Why did you choose that name & number? Fo Sure is an auditory play on words of my last name, Fosher, and my number is my son's birthday.
Positions Played: Jammer
What is your real life job? Child Rearing Engineer
When did you start your roller derby journey and/or when did you join CCD? I started roller derby here at CCD in 2015. My family moved back to our home town area of New England where I continued to played for GSRD out of New Hampshire. We decided we loved this area so much that we are back and I'm incredibly happy to again skate with so many awesome skaters!
What's your favorite thing about playing roller derby? My favorite thing about roller derby is all of the amazing people that I have met. This is a non-profit organization run completely by volunteers, so it's definitely something that we all share a love for. I have had the pleasure of meeting so many different people from so many areas of the country and world who were unified because of wanting to play together.
What other roles do you hold in the league? I am currently the league Secretary and a part of the Intra-League Relations Committee.
What else do you enjoy doing besides skating? Any hobbies or interests? I love to weight lift. I started back in 2013 and it has become just a integral part of my day. I also love to create art and the occasional bird watching.
What is the biggest/best thing you've learned by being part of Crossroads City Derby? This league is special in that it is a close-knit family who push each other to be their best. When I started, I had zero clue what I was doing, didn't know how to skate, and was falling all over the place. With the help of all the coaches, teammates, and everyone else, I am proud to say I was chartered onto the all-star team the year after I started. I have since tried to embody this spirit every time I put my skates on.
