SKATERS
(Fresh Meat a/k/a Chile Verde)
If you’re interested in becoming a competitive roller derby skater with Crossroads City Derby, you must go through our Chile Verde/Fresh Meat program. Practices are held behind Meerscheidt Rec Center (1600 E Hadley Ave) 2-3 times per week. Fresh Meat also help out at games, learn how to be Non-Skating Officials (NSO), and volunteer at special events. Please note that you MUST be at least 18 years of age at the start of Fresh Meat to skate with us. If you have questions or would like to inquire about transferring to our league, please email us at ccd.main@gmail.com or read more about Chile Verde.
NON-CONTACT SKATING
Non-contact, non-scrimmaging skaters are eligible to participate in endurance and "no contact" drills on the outside track (or at the east end of the track on scrimmage nights); with monthly dues they can join in with Fresh Meat. Please note that you must be 18 years of age to skate and must sign a waiver. Skating during league practice is at your own risk, and contact skaters have track priority during the season. Gear is available in limited amounts (dues paying members have priority) and please bring your own mouthguard, socks, and water. For details, please email us at ccd.main@gmail.com.
REFEREES/NSOs
(The Dark Side of the Bout)
Are you interested in being a Referee or Non-Skating Official (NSO)? Or would you prefer to be involved but stay on the sidelines or behind the scenes? Email us at ccd.main@gmail.com.
VOLUNTEER
Not interested in skating, reffing, or being an NSO? Then become an elite member of our CCD Volunteer staff! We'll give you a derby name and our unending gratitude. Maybe buy you a beer at the afterparty.
