On August 27th, Crossroads City Derby raised $235 for Relay for Life. It was a fantastic opportunity to give back to our community and honor the survivors, families, friends and significant others who have battled with this disease. Relay for Life “represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.” We feel honored to be a part of this event, thanks Relay for Life of Las Cruces NM!

AUGUST 16: HELL ON WHEELS

Join Crossroads City Derby at the Las Cruces/Mesilla debut of “Hell on Wheels” a documentary film “telling the story of a group of Texas women who band together to resurrect roller derby for the 21st century. Emerging from the Austin music and arts scene, these women create a rock and roll fueled version of all-girl roller derby that has spawned the derby craze that’s sweeping the nation.”

If you arrive early enough, you can meet several members of your one and only roller derby team in Las Cruces. Director Bob Ray will also be present for a meet and greet. Proceeds from this event will benefit Mesilla Valley Community of Hope and Crossroads City Derby.

When: August 16 – meet us in line @ 9:30pm!
Where: Fountain Theatre, Mesilla NM
Cost: $5

We compete locally and regionally with other roller derby leagues in New Mexico, Texas, Arizona and Colorado.
